Wild Boars youth football team is invited to the Youth Olympic Games

BANGKOK, Oct 3 (TNA) -- Wild Boars youth football team is invited to the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In an official press conference on Monday, Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam said the Wild Boars of the Mu Pa Football Club at an invitation by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) president Thomas Bach would take part in Games between October 3-15. Each footballer and the coach will be accompanied by one of their family members during the trip sponsored by the IOC. A team physician, a psychologist and a interpreter will travel with them in the trip that will also bring them to New York and Los Angeles, the United States. The team is scheduled to play a friendly game of either football or futsal with a Youth Olympic team in Argentina. During the trip to New York between October 8 and 9, Narongsak Osotanakorn, who headed the Wild Boar rescue mission, will receive Asia Game Changer Award from Asia Society Association on behalf of the young boys. From October 10 to 12, the youth team will take part in cultural activity with local youths in Los Angeles. The teenagers captivated the world when they were trapped for almost two weeks inside a flooded cave in Chiang Rai province. They were successfully extracted safely by a team on international rescuers. (TNA)
