Winning humanitarian initiatives honoured

Manama, Dec. 14 (BNA): The Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) today held the final stage of the " Humanitarian Initiatives" competition, launched recently to attract distinguished ideas in the field of humanitarian work.
Six teams out of 150 qualified for the final of the context. They included the "Absher" (Be Assured), "Give to Save", "IHand", "Accessible Beaches", "Al-Sanad" (Support) and the " Drug Store".
A jury, chaired by the Executive Director of Almoayyed Contracting Group, Hala Farouk Almoayyed, and the audience evaluated the presentations of the six finalists.
The jury chairperson delivered a statement in which she explained the criteria adopted by the panel to evaluate the six initiatives. She also praised the idea of the competition and the quality of the participating initiatives.
"Sanad" clinched the first place (BD2,000), while "IHand" and "Accessible Beaches" came second (BD 1,500) and third (BD 1,000) respectively. The remaining three initiatives were granted BD500.
RHF Secretary-General, Dr. Mustafa Al-Sayed Al-Ameen, presented shields and gifts to the winning initiatives, and thanked all the participants.
He also honoured Senior Private Banking Relationship Director at the Al-Ahli United Bank (AUB) Bassam Abdulrahman Al Tattan, who announced that AUB will donate BD 10,000 to support the winning initiatives, under the supervision of the RHF.
