Women's contribution to Bahrain's growth lauded

Manama, Mar. 11 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at Gudaibiya Palace today a delegation of women from Muharraq who expressed thanks and respect to him for the government’s support to them. HRH the Prime Minister lauded the honourable stances of Bahraini women and their distinguished patriotic role in crucial historical phases of the national march. He paid tribute to them for their remarkable contribution, stressing the government’s keenness to provide them with every support to help them assume their role in the development march. HRH the Premier underlined Muharraq’s glorious history that has been shaped by the dedication and great patriotism of its citizens. He said Muharraq has been known throughout history by the honourable stances of its people and their dedication to the nation. He praised the town’s rich cultural and civilizational heritage, hailing contribution of Bahraini women to the kingdom’s growth and their active role in political, economic and social fields. HRH the Prime Minister commended perseverance and determination of Bahraini women which helped them overcome many challenges and become an active partner on the national scene. He lauded the distinguished status of Bahraini women, their patriotic role and dedication in looking after their families and bringing up nation-loving and responsible generations. He affirmed the government’s keenness on women’s welfare and on boosting their role in the development march. "We feel proud that Bahrain is one of the pioneering countries in the Gulf region in empowering women and granting them the place they deserve as a partner in shaping the national work march and making decision," HRH the Premier said. On her part, Anisa Ahmed Al Zayani expressed heartfelt thanks and appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for his services to the nation and citizens. She stressed the great love HRH the Premier enjoys from all the people, praying to Allah the Almighty to protect him for Bahrain and its people. Meanwhile, the two poets Hanadi Al Jowder and Dhama Al-Wijdan recited two poems on the occasion in which they paid tribute to HRH the Premier, expressing appreciation of his achievements for the nation and citizens. The delegation of women from Muharraq voiced gratitude to HRH the Prime Minister for his keenness to Support and motivate Bahraini women to further engage them in nation-building. They asserted that this respect further fuels their resolve to take part actively in serving the nation and fast-tracking its development. The added that the special care given by HRH the Prime Minister to Muharraq has a great impact on the town’s urban and civilizational growth.
