Working meetings of the President of Kazakhstan
Astana, September 19 2009, Khabar – In the Ak Orda, the head of state Nursultan Nazarbayev has met the minister for emergency situations Vladimir Bozhko, who reported to the president on the results of the work of the ministry and current state of affairs in the system of the ministry for emergency situations. The ministry has finished its administrative reforms and undertaken some measures for securing industrial and fire safety. Nursultan Nazarbayev was interested in the progress of construction of the Koksarai control station and the flood-control dam near Astana. The head of the country asked for a strengthening of personnel management in the system of the ministry paying particular attention to labour protection and safety at work.

- All dangerous factories should be defined and the responsibilities of employers should be strengthened. We must not lose people.
During the meeting, the culture and information minister of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Kul-Mukhammed reported to the president on the development of cultural and information matters, the modernization of the “Kazakhfilm” National Company as well as the implementation of the “Cultural Heritage” programme.
