Works minister meets Omani ambassador

Manama, Mar.23 (BNA): Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf received Oman Ambassador Abdulla bin Rashid Al-Medelwi and reviewed strong fraternal relations binding the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman. He commended the strenuous efforts exerted by the Omani envoy to strengthen bilateral relations and expand jointg cooperation between Manama and Muscat. The two sides discussed ways of activating memoranda of understanding which were signed between the two countries in the sectors of agriculture and aquaculture. They also agreed to draft a new memorandum of understanding in the sectors of municipalities and road construction. The ambassador reiterated his country’s keenness on strengthening bilateral relations with the Bahrain within the Gulf Cooperation Council, wishing the Kingdom further progress and prosperity.
