Works Minister receives Japanese Ambassador

Manama, Aug. 30 (BNA): Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf received the newly appointed Japanese Ambassador to Bahrain Masayuki Miyamoto. The minister stressed the deep relations between Bahrain and Japan and the mutual keenness to support and develop them in various fields, praising the efforts to enhance cooperation in infrastructure and agriculture fields. The meeting reviewed infrastructure, construction and urban development projects carried out by the ministry and discussed the possibility of using Japanese technology in upcoming projects. The ambassador expressed his appreciation of the minister's efforts to strengthen bilateral relations. He also praised the Kingdom’s management of the Covid-19 pandemic and the efforts by the national medical taskforce, noting that Bahrain is a model to follow.
