World-class Thai food products to be showcased at World Expo 2015

BANGKOK, April 30 (TNA) - Thailand will participate in the World Expo in Italy next year, during which Thai Pavilion will showcase the Kingdom's agricultural innovations and world-class food products. The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives on Wednesday introduced the model of the Thai Pavilion to be on display at the World Expo 2015 in Milano, Italy's second-most populous city, which was witnessed by Italian Ambassador to Thailand Michelangelo Pipan. Thailand's economic and social aspects will also be on display at the Thai Pavilion, designed and developed from the shape of Thai farmers’ palm leaf hats. Thailand's Caretaker Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister Yukol Limlaemthong then told journalists that countries participating in the World Expo 2015 would show their developments on the theme of “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life”. Yukol revealed that at next year's World Expo, Thailand, which is recognized as a world important agricultural base, will present the country's capabilities of producing world-class farm and food products, local and unique wisdom and innovations to adequately supply food to the international community, paving the way for the Thai Kingdom to become “a world kitchen” in a sustainable manner.
