World Economic Forum focuses on President Rouhani’s WAVE initiative

Tehran, Jan 24, IRNA – The World Economic Forum focused on the initiative by the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on “World Against Violence and Extremism” (WAVE). World Economic Forum focuses on President Rouhani’s WAVE initiative The Friday meeting of the Forum discussed the plan by President Rouhani proposing ways to promote a world against violence and extremism. Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and head of president’s office Mohammad Nahavandian were present in the session when the issue was discussed. The proposal -- WAVE -- was approved by the UN General Assembly last December. President Rouhani put forward the proposal to the UN General Assembly calling for the 'World Against Violence and Extremism' in his speech last September.
