World Productivity Congress opens

Manama, Apr. 1 (BNA): The 18th edition of the World Productivity Congress opened this evening in Bahrain under the theme "New Roads to Innovation and Higher Productivity."
The event is being held under the patronage of Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Khalifa at the Gulf Hotel Convention Centre.
The congress is organized by JAFCON Consultants for Productivity Improvement in strategic partnership with Tamkeen and UNIDO. Bahrain Society for Training and Development is a co-organizer of the event.
The congress is the first of its kind in the kingdom of Bahrain, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
More than 300 participants are taking part in the 2017 edition, including businessmen, industrialists, scholars, decision-makers, administrators, and productivity experts.
Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Khalifa honoured the strategic partners and sponsors of the 18th World Productivity Congress.
In a statement on this occasion, he welcomed all the participants and commended the organisers of the congress, stressing Bahrain’s dedicated efforts to diversify the sources of revenues and develop.
He underscored the crucial importance of such high-profile global events which represent key platforms to outline innovative initiatives and world-class practices to enhance productivity.
