Young Bahrainis' creativity in social education praised

Manama, Apr. 24 (BNA): Information Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi has commended the media creativity of young Bahrainis and the use of their skills to promote social education and social action across various health sectors and in the service of society and humanity. The minister made the remarks as he received Hajer Bucheeri and Mohammed Al Saqr and congratulated them on obtaining "Awareness" awards in the competition organized by Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health in partnership with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)’s Health Council. Hajer came third in the motion graphics about "Psychological Health and Neuro Bulimia" in the short film "The Mirror Lies", while Mohammed came fifth in the category of shorts films with his "Get Up" production to encourage physical fitness and sports exercises. The minister lauded Bahrain for obtaining six awards in the "Awareness" categories to stimulate Gulf and Arab societies with innovative media tools to adopt a healthy lifestyle to reduce disease and increase activity and production through short films, photography and infographics, in addition to promoting health at school. The two laureates thanked the minister for his constant encouragement of young Bahrainis in the media to produce artistic TV works featuring constructive humanitarian and societal content that will contribute to serving the nation and its citizens and consolidate the status of Bahrain in regional and international media functions.
