Manama, Oct. 20 (BNA): As part of the first International Youth Festival to achieve the sustainable development goals (SDGs), held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the youth will participate tomorrow in the 14th edition of Bahrain Universities Model United Nations (BUMUN) and the functions of the biggest lesson in the world to achieve SDGs, with the aim of Bahrain entering Guinness Book. The Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs will organise at 9 am tomorrow at Seef Rami Hotel BUMUN. Many local and Arab universities will take part in the event that will be held for the 14th consecutive year. The participants will discuss issues of concern to their countries in imitation of the UN sessions. The aim is to equip youngsters with an understanding of the UN work as an international organisation in order to groom the youth for diplomatic work and convey their visions in an ideal way. For the second year running, BUMUN adopts SDGs 2030 as part of Bahrain’s initiative to raise awareness of the youth from all over the world about the importance of the goals and ways of achieving them to serve mankind.
