Global Air Chief Conference begins in Turkey
ISTANBUL (A.A) - 02.06.2011 - Global Air Chiefs Conference, or GACC, has begun in Istanbul with participation of air force commanders from more than 60 countries.
Turkish Air Forces Commander Gen. Hakan Aksay hosts the event as part of the 100th anniversary of the foundation of Turkish Air Forces.
Air force commanders will discuss "problematic areas of air and aerospace forces in the future" during the closed-doors conference.
Air force commanders from Germany, Albania, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Algeria, Czech Republic, China, Denmark, Indonesia, Estonia, Morocco, Finland, France, Gabon, Gambia, South Africa, Georgia, Croatia, India, the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Iran, Ireland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, Canada, Qatar, Kyrgyzstan, Congo, South Korea, Kosovo, Lithuania, Latvia, Lebanon, Hungary, Macedonia, Mozambique, Pakistan. Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Senegal, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Sudan, Chile, Thailand, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Oman, Jordan, New Zealand and Greece are participating in the conference.
Following the meeting in Istanbul, commanders will head to Izmir to watch the Air Show Turkey 2011.
