HH Shaikh Abdullah commends Bahrain 1 team triumph
Gainesville, FL., Mar. 14 (BNA): HM the King’s Personal Representative HH Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa has praised the strong start of "Bahrain 1" team after it the first place in the FuelTech NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series presented by Type A Motorsports at Gainesville Raceway.
Justin Bond went 5.732-seconds at 250.74 mph in his Bahrain 1 Racing Camaro, knocking off J.R. Gray in the final round at the 54th annual Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals.
The event, which was powered by Type A Motorsports, was the first of 10 races during the 2023 season in the FuelTech NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series presented by Type A Motorsports.
Bond also knocked off Dwayne Wolfe, Doug Winters and defending world champ Kris Thorne to reach the final round, posting reaction times of .016 or better during the first three rounds.
Bond followed with a fantastic run in the final round to start his 2023 season off on a high note.
HH Shaikh Abdullah stressed that the strong start of the team confirms its serious intention to regain the championship title.
"Bahrain 1" team works in an organized and professional manner, which will have positive effects on the team this season and will confirm the keenness of the team's management and its endeavor towards further achievements, he added.
HH Shaikh Abdullah said that Bahrain 1’s local and international achievements were built on the unlimited support of HM the King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The FuelTech NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series presented by Type A Motorsports returns to action on April 28-30 as part of the Circle K NHRA Four-Wide Nationals at zMAX Dragway in Charlotte.
