HM King receives GCC Secretary General

Manama, Mar.7 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today received, at Al Safriya Palace, the new GCC Secretary-General Jassim Jassim Muhammad Al-Budaiwi and congratulated him on his appointment.

HM the King wished the GCC Chief and all General Secretariat staff every success, to further Gulf joint action and strengthen cooperation between member states.

HM the King commended the GCC's regional and international role and pioneering achievements across all fields since its inception, as well as efforts to support peace, security and stability in the region. During the meeting, key GCC issues were also discussed.

The GCC Secretary General expressed thanks and gratitude to HM the King for his support to joint Gulf actions, affirming resolve to continue efforts to continue the GCC's mark and achieve Gulf leaders' aspirations.
