IMF delegation to visit Turkey for post-program monitoring


ANKARA (A.A) – August 15, 2011 – A delegation from Turkey desk of International Monetary Fund (IMF) will arrive in Turkey next month for post-program monitoring.
The delegation will visit private sector and economy institutions, and receive views as well as formal data about the recent economic developments.
The delegation will assess Turkish economy during its 2-week visit, and update its macro-economic predictions for 2011.
The IMF delegation will issue a report after it returns to Washington.
IMF delegation will visit Turkey once in every six months until 2013 –the date Turkey's debt to the Fund will completely be repaid.
The debt stock of the loans Turkey used from IMF is currently 4.8 billion USD, and it will drop to 4.5 billion USD by the end of 2011.
