Iraq And Tunisia Discuss Activating The MoU In The Field Of Tourism

Baghdad / NINA / - The Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Ahmed Fakkak Al-Badrani, discussed today, Wednesday, with Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Tunisia in Baghdad, Fahmy Al-Mashreqi, activating the executive program for cultural cooperation with the Ministry of Cultural Affairs of the Republic of Tunisia.

Al-Badrani directed, according to a statement by the ministry, to support cultural exchange and cooperation in implementation of the educational, scientific, cultural, media, artistic and tourism cooperation agreement signed between Iraq and Tunisia in 1975.

The two parties discussed activating the Memorandum of Understanding in the field of tourism, which aims to develop tourism, exchange experiences and information, and establish tourism projects.

The Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Tunisia in Baghdad invited the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities to visit Tunisia as part of a government delegation to consolidate relations between the two countries.

Al-Badrani welcomed the invitation, stressing the need to open the horizon of cooperation in the field of tourism, culture and antiquities, and the opening of an air line between Iraq and Tunisia and the operation of weekly flights to stimulate the tourism movement./ End
