The Iraqi National Business Council Organizes A Jordanian-Iraqi Forum For Finance And Business
Baghdad / NINA / - The Iraqi National Business Council (INBC) announced the organization of a Jordanian-Iraqi forum for money and business, in Amman, with the participation of hundreds of government officials, businessmen and companies from Jordan and Iraq.
The INBC stated in a statement that it will organize on the twentieth of this month in Amman the Jordanian-Iraqi Business and Finance Forum under the slogan "Building Bridges of Common Prosperity", with the wide participation of investors, businessmen and companies of the two countries.
The participants in the forum will discuss, through dialogue working sessions, investing in the financial and banking sector, opportunities, challenges, experiences and success stories, the investment environment, available investment opportunities, and laws and instructions governing investment in both Iraq and Jordan."
Participants will also discuss, through dialogue sessions, investment in the industrial sector, energy, mining, and real estate development projects and investment in the transportation, services, communications and information technology sectors.
The statement quoted the Chairman of the Preparatory Committee for the Forum, Vice-Chairman of the Council, Secretary Saad Naji: "The organization of the forum comes from the vision of King Abdullah II and the Iraqi leadership in achieving economic integration between Jordan and Iraq, and expanding horizons of joint cooperation, especially in the investment, trade and industrial fields between the two countries."
Naji said: "The two-day forum will be attended by elite businessmen, investors, governmental and parliamentary figures from Jordan and Iraq, local and international companies, private sector institutions, United Nations organizations and international organizations."
He explained that "the forum aims to promote investment in various fields and trade exchange between Jordan and Iraq, and establish joint partnerships, in addition to discussing the challenges facing ways to develop the economic relations of the two countries, as well as enhancing joint trade and investment exchange between Iraqi companies and their counterparts from Jordan, Arab and international companies, to contribute in the reconstruction projects and business opportunities available in Jordan and Iraq now and in the next stage.
The Iraqi National Business Council was established in Jordan in 2006, and it is a forum for businessmen to exchange views, ideas and business information, provide job opportunities through trade and social missions, and introduce existing investment opportunities in Jordan and Iraq. / End
