Kyrgyzstan takes part in 1st meeting of secretaries of Security Councils of Central Asia and Russia in Almaty

BishkekJune 26, 2023. / Kabar/. Secretary of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic Marat Imankulov in Almaty took part in the 1st meeting of the secretaries of the security councils of the countries of Central Asia and Russia.

In his speech, Marat Imankulov outlined a number of current challenges and threats to the security of the countries of the region, which could also harm the interests of the regional security of the Kyrgyz Republic.

He also noted that the last meeting is the first step in coordinating the issues raised by the presidents of the states of Central Asia and Russia in October last year in Astana.

In terms of building up interaction, Marat Imankulov proposed to achieve peace and stability in Afghanistan by means accessible to international diplomacy and humanitarian actions, to work actively and jointly with young people in order to prevent their radicalization, to work out the issue of a common approach and exchange of practices for training professional theologians and clergy.

In addition, the secretary of the Security Council noted the need to expand cooperation in the field of cybersecurity, exchange experience in the field of countering hybrid threats and wars, work on the subject of biological security and prevent the production and proliferation of biological weapons at various international platforms, as well as increase cooperation between border agencies.
