About harvesting works

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Ministry of Industry and Agriculture Monday gave a report on the current harvesting works, trade of vegetables, fuel price and supply, and winter preparation works to G.Bayarsaikhan MP, head of the parliamentary Standing committee on environment, food and agriculture; Ts.Tsolmon, A.Bakei, D.Ganbat and L.Erdenechimeg MPs. According to the report, the harvesting of grain is running with 57.8 per cent so far, potatoes--83.5% and vegetables--94.7%. The fuel supply for the agricultural works is being done normally, the Ministry said. By an order of the Minister of Industry and Agriculture, the wheat price will be MNT 320 thousand per ton to be purchased for the Agricultural Support Fund (ASF) with aims to intensify the sale of wheat and to prevent a price soar of the product. Moreover, the freight expense of wheat within 100 km will be sponsored by the ASF. An official order has been delivered to localities to take measures for ensuring the winter preparations in order to overcome the winter with less damage.
