Art Expo Malaysia 2017 Begins Today at MECC

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 12 (Bernama) -- The Art Expo Malaysia 2017, an exhibition showcasing over 2,000 pieces of artworks from 25 countries, is taking place at the Matrade Exhibition and Convention Centre (MECC) here from Thursday until Sunday (Oct 15). The 11th edition of the art expo, which was first introduced in 2007, is open to public from 11 am to 7.30 pm daily. Admission is free. Raja Muda of Perlis (Crown Prince of Perlis state) Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail and his wife, Tuanku Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil, who are the royal patrons of the annual event, jointly opened the ‘Art Expo Malaysia 2017 - VIP Preview Night' Wednesday night. Also present at the event were International Trade and Industry Minister II Ong Ka Chuan, Art Expo Malaysia founder Vincent Sim Tiak Choo and its executive director Sim Pojinn, as well as Matrade chief executive officer Dr Mohd Shahreen Zainooreen Madros. -- BERNAMA
