Family Recipe Line Clear's Secret To Winning WSFC 2017 - Entrepreneur

GEORGE TOWN (Penang, Malaysia), June 13 (Bernama) -- A secret family recipe which has been passed down generation after generation for more than 60 years is the reason why famed nasi kandar restaurant Line Clear has been selected to be in the list of best restaurants at the World Street Food Congress (WSFC) 2017 held in the Philippines recently. Entrepreneur Sahubar Mohd Ali (picture) said the restaurant was placed ninth in the list of top 10 food outlets offering the most delicious food in the world. “I never expected our restaurant to win the World Street Food Congress and I was very happy to find out that it was among the top 10 from a list of 50 restaurants,” he told Bernama here Monday adding that the restaurant was chosen based on its menu which included fried chicken masala, fish head curry, mutton, chili prawn, eggs, and savoury vegetables which were different from other restaurants, and patrons were willing to queue up for their dish. Sahubar said this was the first time the restaurant won an international award and it was a very exciting and proud moment. “Besides retaining these recipe, we also look after our patrons well, giving them the best service. We will maintain these old recipe to ensure we retain the title of most tasty restaurant in the world,” he said. He added that there were plans to increase the items on the menu and to renovate the eating space for the comfort of patrons. The Line Clear nasi kandar restaurant was recently selected as the most tasty restaurant in the world by the World Street Food Congress which was held from May 31 to June 4 in Manila, the Philippines.
