Kazakh President congratulates Muslims on the beginning of Ramadan

President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has visited the new mosque unveiled today in Astana. The Head of State congratulated the Muslims of Kazakhstan on the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, the Akorda press service said. "This month people will observe fasting which was revealed in the Quran. All people should think of good, happiness, unity, tolerance, assistance, forgiveness and absolution of sins. I wish all the Muslims to withstand rigour of fasting during Ramadan," the President said. The total area of the new mosque stretching over 8 ha is 1087,6 thousand sq m. It may host up to 1,500 daily visitors.
