Kyrgyzstan adds 421 new COVID-19 cases

Bishkek, July 14, 2020 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan added 421 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, taking its total to 11,538. Among the newly infected 94 are medical workers, bringing the total number of contracted medical workers to 1,875 including 570 recoveries, head of the public health care department of the country’s Health Ministry Ainura Akmatova said at a daily online news briefing. Akmatova also reported 109 new recoveries in the past 24 hours, taking the total to 4,995. Meanwhile, two new virus-related deaths have been registered in the country over the past day, raising the death toll to 149. Currently, 652 people remained hospitalized with 21 patients in intensive care units and another 5,742 asymptomatic patients are in home quarantine. 3,095 tests for the virus have been conducted across the country.
