Kyrgyzstan confirms over 1,100 new COVID-19 cases, 44 deaths

Bishkek, July 22, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan confirmed 1,108 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, raising the total number of infections to 29,359. Head of the Public Health Department of the country's Health Ministry Ainura Akmatova told a news briefing that among the new cases, 305 are laboratory-confirmed, and 803 - clinical and epidemiologically confirmed cases of COVID-19. She also announced the recovery of 984 patients, thus nationwide recoveries from coronavirus and community - acquired pneumonia have climbed to 15,851. Among the new cases 50 are medical workers, raising the tally of contracted medics to 2,478, including 1,091 recoveries. The representative of the Health Ministry added that 12, 563 patients are receiving treatment at hospitals. The death toll has reached 1,123 after 44 more fatalities were added.
