Kyrgyzstan reports 345 new COVID-19 cases. 8,486 in total

Bishkek, July 8, 2020 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan reported on Wednesday 345 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total confirmed cases in the country to 8,486.
Head of the public health care department of the country’s Health Ministry Ainura Akmatova said that 3,286 laboratory tests were conducted in the country in the last 24 hours.
All the cases are contacts of confirmed patients, and 151 of them are women and 198 are men, she said.
Among the newly infected 62 are medical workers, bringing the total number of contracted medical workers to 1,287 including 522 recoveries, she added.
Akmatova said that 67 patients have been discharged from hospitals per day and in total 2,983 patients who were tested positive for COVID-19 had recovered from the disease since the outbreak of the virus.
The representative of the Health Ministry reported 13 new virus-related deaths, raising the total number of death toll to 112.
Meanwhile, 592 people remained hospitalized, 17 patients are in intensive care.
In addition, 4799 asymptomatic patients are in home quarantine.
