Malaysia's Ambassador to Indonesia Breaks the Fast With 20 Editors, Journalists

JAKARTA, June 17 (Bernama) – Malaysia’s Ambassador to Indonesia Zahrain Mohamed Hashim broke the fast with 20 local editors and senior journalists here last night. Among those present were Indonesian news agency Antara Deputy Chief Editor Aulia Badar and TVone newscaster Divi Lukmansyah and journalists from the local press. Also joining the breaking of the fast were senior officials from the embassy and Bernama bureau chief in Indonesia Azeman Ariffin. Zahrain said the event aimed at strengthening ties between the Malaysian embassy personnel and media practitioners in Indonesia. “We always fete Indonesian journalists in various events to strengthen the relationship between the media and embassy,” he said. He said local journalists would also be invited to an open house do at the ambassador’s residence on July 15. --BERNAMA
