Russians can now obtain tourist visas to China, says Chinese envoy to Russia

MOSCOW, January 20. /TASS/. Russian citizens can already receive tourist visas to China, China’s ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui told reporters on Friday. "We have already opened tourist visas," he said replying to a question by TASS. "The only restriction is that there are not enough flights. It is necessary to restore the flights. As far as I know, there are no restrictions for obtaining a visa," the envoy added. On January 8, the Chinese government significantly eased quarantine restrictions for those entering the country. Earlier, China’s Foreign Ministry said that the government would relax the process of obtaining work, business and student visas as well as the visas to visit relatives or reunite a family. Earlier on Friday, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China announced that beginning on February 6, travel agencies and online companies across the country would resume the organization of outbound group tours and the air ticket + hotel service for Chinese citizens to Russia and a number of other countries on a pilot basis.
