LMRA CEO receives Ethiopian Consul General

Manama, May 17 (BNA): Nouf Abdulrahman Jamsheer, CEO of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) and Chairman of the National Committee for Combatting Trafficking in Persons, received Shiferaw Jena, Consul General of the Ethiopia to Bahrain.

Jamsheer congratulated the consul on assuming his position as Consul General in the Kingdom, wishing him success in performing his duties.

She stressed the role of diplomatic missions in cooperating with government agencies to raise awareness among expatriate workers on their rights and duties and the regulations and laws of LMRA.

She affirmed the Kingdom's commitment to preserve the work environment for Ethiopian workers and maintain stable relations between workers and employers.

The CEO also highlighted initiatives that contribute to enhancing the work environment, including the labor registration system, the optional insurance system for domestic workers, and the wage protection system.
