Malaysian Religious Affairs: Makkah Route Initiative Contributes to Improving Services to Pilgrims

Kuala Lumpur, June 01, 2023, SPA -- Malaysian Minister in the Prime Minister's Department for Religious Affairs Mohd Na'im Mokhtar commended the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's initiatives that contribute to improving the services provided to pilgrims, most notably the Makkah Route initiative that Malaysian pilgrims have enjoyed since its launch five years ago and facilitates the completion of travel procedures for pilgrims from Malaysia until their arrival in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
His remarks came during his visit to the initiative hall at Kuala Lumpur International Airport today, in the presence of Saudi Ambassador to Malaysia Musaed bin Ibrahim Al-Sulaim and supervisor of the initiative hall and representative of the Ministry of Interior Colonel Abdullah Al-Obayyan.
During the visit, he checked on the readiness of the hall to facilitate the pilgrimage journey, organize services at the airport, and conduct its implementation procedures in the Saudi and Malaysian sites.
The Malaysian minister also expressed gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for all the facilities they offer to pilgrims, and thanked all institutions participating in the success of the Makkah Route Initiative.
