Middle Eastern markets important for Turkey
ADANA (A.A) - 22.03.2011 - President of All Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (TUMSIAD) said on Tuesday that markets of the Middle East were very important for Turkey.
Speaking to A.A correspondent, TUMSIAD President Hasan Sert said businessmen of China, India and many other countries made investments in the Middle East as Turkish businessmen did not go there, "there are strong NGOs and businessmen in Turkey as well as an intellectual capital and qualified labor force. Countries like Iran, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Kuwait, Egypt and Qatar are very important gates for Turkish businessmen in economic sense," he noted.
Referring the recent incidents in countries like Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Egypt, Sert said, "there is a troublesome process in those countries however all those are temporary. Peace will again be restored there and commercial activities will resume. There are opportunities we should make use of. Turkey should take place in the structure of the region."
