Minister of Municipality Meets US City Mayors

 

 

Doha, February 20 (QNA) - HE Minister of Municipality and Urban Planning Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaei met today with a delegation of US city mayors, who are currently visiting the country. 

The meeting dealt with discussing facets of cooperation between the Ministry of Municipality and US cities in the fields of municipal affairs and agriculture as well as the means to enhance them, particularly in the field of agriculture, food security, infrastructure, and municipalities. 

HE the Minister of Municipality shed light during the meeting on the State of Qatar's preparations to host 2023 International Horticultural Exposition (Doha Expo 2023), set to take place next October for six months at Al Bidda Park.

Director of the Public Parks Department at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment and Secretary General of Expo 2023-Doha Mohammed Ali Al Khouri offered a presentation on the exposition's projects.

The delegation included HE Mayor of Denver, Colorado Michael Hancock, HE Mayor of Rochester Hills Bryan Barnett, HE Mayor John Giles of Mesa, Arizona, HE Mayor of Jackson, Mississippi Chokwe Antar Lumumba, and Chris Barnett from Michigan state. (QNA)
