National Guard Commander meets with Pakistan's Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff

Islamabad, Mar. 15 (BNA): National Guard Commander, His Highness General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, met at the Staff headquarters in Rawalpindi with Pakistan’s Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of HH General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa’s official visit to Pakistan to attend its celebrations of the Republic Day.
On arrival at the Pakistani Army’s Headquarters, the National Guard Commander was officially received by the Pakistani Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and senior officers.
Gen. Sahir Shamshad Mirza hailed the visit of the National Guard Commander to Pakistan which aims to further develop military relations between both countries.
The National Guard Commander lauded the advanced level of bilateral military cooperation, praising the role of the Pakistani Army in promoting regional and international security and stability.
Both sides discussed issues of common interest. They also reviewed relations of friendship and cooperation mainly in the military field.
