Next spacewalk under Russian program will take place in April or May

KOROLYOV /Moscow Region/, February 26. /TASS/. Russian cosmonauts will go on a spacewalk in April or May to install additional equipment on the Russian multipurpose laboratory module Nauka, Roscosmos Director Yury Borisov told reporters on Sunday.

"A spacewalk is scheduled for April or May," he said, adding that the extravehicular activity will aim to install additional equipment on the multipurpose laboratory module Nauka.

The Roscosmos head said the docking of the Soyuz MS-23, which is set to give a ride home to cosmonauts Sergey Prokopyev and Dmitry Petelin as well as NASA astronaut Francisco Rubio, to the ISS went smoothly.

"We have experienced a fairly serious upheaval today, but it ended up well," Borisov said.

The docking of the Soyuz MS-23 was automatic. The spacecraft delivered almost 430 kilograms of cargo, including medical supplies, station maintenance and atmosphere control supplies, water, research supplies, food. The food supplies that were set to be delivered were three times as large as usual, Vladimir Solovyov, the chief designer for crewed systems, said on February 20.
