NIHR receives US Congress staff delegation

Manama, Feb. 20 (BNA): The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), today received a delegation from US Congress staff.

NIHR Chairman, Ali Ahmed Al-Derazi, briefed the delegation about the way the NIHR deals the human rights conditions in the kingdom. He also referred to its consultative role in submitting recommendations related to human rights to the competent authorities.

He stressed the importance of such visits in highlighting the kingdom's progress in all fields, particularly human rights.
