NIHR stresses human rights progress

Manama, Mar. 21 (BNA): National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR)'s President Ali Ahmed Al Derazi received the US Department of State International Religious Freedom Senior Official Daniel Nadel.

Al Derazi stressed the progress of human rights and religious freedom in Bahrain are guaranteed under the constitution and relevant laws.

He said that the practice of religion is within the framework of public and personal freedom equity without discrimination on the grounds of race, language, religion or gender.

The US official stressed the NIHR’s important role in promoting human rights and fundamental freedoms, wishing the Kingdom and its people further progress and prosperity.
