Oil Minister receives Japanese parliamentary delegation

Manama, Mar. 15 (BNA): Oil and Environment Minister and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Dainah received the Japanese parliamentary delegation participating in the 146th International Parliament Union (IPU) Assembly meeting.

Japanese Ambassador to Bahrain Miyamoto Masayuki was present.

The meeting discussed enhancing ways of cooperation in the oil and environmental sectors between the two countries.

The minister reviewed Bahrain’s role in strengthening the national economy through the development and growth of the oil and environmental sector and the launch of many development oil projects and initiatives aimed at preserving the environment and climate.

He stressed the Kingdom's keenness to create investment opportunities and enhance cooperation with various developed countries in energy and the environment sectors.

The ambassador expressed his appreciation to the minister for his keenness to enhance the sectors.

He praised the development witnessed by the environment and energy sectors in the Kingdom and stressed his country's keenness to expand bilateral cooperation in various fields, especially oil and environmental.
