‘Iranian expatriates in Canada can’t cast ballots in presidential poll’

TEHRAN,May 28(MNA) – Iranian expatriates living in Canada cannot cast ballots in Iran’s June 14 presidential election because of Canada’s lack of cooperation in setting up polling stations, the head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Department for Iranian Expatriates’ Affairs, Kazem Sajjadi, told on Sunday. Canada announced on September 7, 2012 that it had closed its embassy in Tehran. It also expelled all Iranian diplomats in Canada a few days after the announcement was made.
