‘Khatami may endorse a presidential candidate’

TEHRAN,April 13(MNA) – The head of the election campaign office of Mohammad Reza Aref, who is a potential pro-reform presidential candidate said that former president Mohammad Khatami will endorse a candidate for Iran’s June presidential election if the situation is not appropriate for him to contest the election. He also said that Aref would withdraw in favor of Khatami if the former president decided to run in the election. Aref has not yet announced presidential candidacy.
