‘Presidential candidates must be competent enough to resolve problems’

TEHRAN,May 12(MNA) – Iran`s Guardian Council Chairman Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati said on Saturday that presidential candidates must be competent enough to resolve the problems facing the country. He also said that relevant authorities must deal with the candidates who had started their campaigns for Iran’s June presidential election before the legal time period. According to the Constitution, the Guardian Council is tasked with vetting election candidates.
