1st Round Of Iran-5+1 Talks Ends In Almaty

Tehran, Feb 27, IRNA – The first round of talks between Iran and the 5+1 wrapped up in Almaty, Khazakhstan. According to IRNA correspondent, there were no news provided to press and media as to the probability of continuing talks on Tuesday evening or Wednesday. The details of talks have not been revealed yet. The 5+1 was to offer new incentives to Iran in this round of talks. Sources close to the Iranian delegation said that Iran too had proposals to make as well. Representatives of Iran and the sextet, known as P5+1, started first round of fresh talks in ex-Kazakh capital Tuesday morning. Iran’s Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili and European Union Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton are co-chairing the delegations respectively. P5+1 includes the US, Britain, France, Russia and China plus Germany./end
