1st Vice-President To Embark On 2-nation African Tour

Tehran, May 28, IRNA - - First Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi is to visit two African countries of Kenya and Tanzania as of Monday. In his tour of Africa, he is scheduled to discuss with Kenyan and Tanzanian officials Iran's ties with those countries, Middle East, Africa and international issues. Rahimi is also to brief leaders of the host countries on Iran's stance on worls issues, developments in Africa and Middle East region, recent developments about Iran's nuclear program and its ongoing nuclear talks with G5+1. He will also invite the heads of state of the two African states to participate in the Non-Aligned Movement Summit to be held in Tehran in September 2012. In Nairobi, Rahimi will meet with Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki, Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka. In Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, Rahimi will discuss with the East African country's authorities mutual relations, ways of facilitating implementation of agreements inked by the two countries and Iran's principled viewpoints on world issues./end
