1st VP Calls For Enhanced Ties With Slovakia

Tehran, Oct 2, IRNA – First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri said on Tuesday that Iran and Slovakia enjoy enormous capacities to promote bilateral ties. In a message to Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico to felicitate Slovakia National Day, Jahangiri expressed hope that Iran and Slovakia will use the existing capacities to expand cooperation in economic, political and cultural areas. Slovakia is a landlocked state in Central Europe. It is bordered by the Czech Republic and Austria to the west, Poland to the north, Ukraine to the east and Hungary to the south. The present-day Slovakia became an independent state on 1 January 1993 after the peaceful dissolution of Czechoslovakia./end
