226 MPs seek to reestablish Management and Planning Organization

TEHRAN,May 20(MNA) - 226 MPs signed a plan to reestablish the Management and Planning Organization which was dissolved immediately after Mahmoud Ahmadinejad took over as president in 2005. Due to diversity in decision-making and planning the MPs sitting on the Majlis Management and Planning Committee are seriously pushing for the revitalization of the organization. “The motion, drawn up with a single urgency, now has 226 signatures on it, which the number of its signatures may increase,” MP Esmaeil Jalili said. Jalili said Majlis will study the plan after approving the national budget for the current year, which started on March 21. The dissolution of the organization caused an outcry among economic experts at the time.
