23,127 nationals evacuated from Libya to Turkey
ANKARA (A.A) - 08.03.2011 - Turkey's disaster management directorate announced on Tuesday the number of Turkish nationals evacuated to Turkey following the unrest in Libya as 23,127.
Turkey's Disaster & Emergency Situation Management Directorate said Turkey had brought 23,127 people by ships and planes so far and 4,178 of them were foreigners.
According to unconfirmed reports, around 1,000 people have been killed in Libya during protests against Muammar al-Qadhafi's 42-year reign.
