497 Iranians released from foreign jails during the last 9 months

TEHRAN,Jan.1(MNA) - Within the last nine months, 497 Iranian inmates have been released from foreign prisons, said Kazem Sajjadi, director general of the Iranian Foreign Ministry department for Iranian expatriates. Upon the efforts undertaken by the Iranian Foreign Ministry and a number of Iranian embassies, these inmates, who had been arrested mostly for illegal entrance and drug trafficking, were released, Sajjadi told on Monday.
