Abdullah bin Zayed meets Moldova's President of Parliament, PM, to discuss boosting cooperation relations

CHISINAU, Moldova, 11th July, 2017 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, on Monday met with Andrian Candu, President of the Parliament of Moldova, and the country's Prime Minister, Pavel Filip. During the meeting, which was held as part of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah's official visit to Moldova, the two sides discussed ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation through exchanging visits, and issues of mutual interest. The two sides exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments, and a number of issues of common concern. Sheikh Abdullah stressed the importance of further developing UAE-Moldova relations and expressed his keenness for enhancing them in all fields, especially in the political, economic, trade, educational, cultural and parliamentary sectors for the good and interest of the peoples of the two friendly nations. The UAE Foreign Minister also addressed the importance of combating terrorism and extremism in all its forms. Candu and Filip welcomed Sheikh Abdullah's visit, stressing their country's keenness to enhance joint cooperation with the UAE in various fields, lauding the UAE for what it has achieved through its cultural renaissance, and the leading position it holds at the regional and international arena. Following the meeting, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah toured the Parliament building accompanied by the Moldovan officials.
