ADB introduces project on supporting vocational training

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A project called “Employment and improving skills” will be realized in Mongolia to support vocational training and improve technologies and professional skills of teachers. Director of urban and social sectors division at the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) East Asia Department Mr Diwesh Sharan introduced this project to D.Battsogt, a head of the parliamentary Standing committee on social policy, education, culture and science, on Wednesday. In frames of the project, the system of vocational training centers will be reformed, and capability-based trainings will run, even the centers' techniques and buildings will be renewed, he said. One of the important goals of this project is to ease the procedure of transferring school pupils to vocational training centers and to help pupils to find the most appropriate professions, Mr Sharan emphasized. In response, the Standing committee head Battsogt hoped that this project will contribute to the development of Mongolia, and said our parliament and government are focusing on employment support. The Standing committee will back the project in all spheres, he said and thanked the ADB for realizing many fruitful projects in Mongolia.
