Ahmadinejad: Gov't More Committed To Nation’s Rights Than Before

Tehran, July 25, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said the government today is even more committed to the values and basic rights of the nation than the year 2005 when it first took office. The president made the remark here on Tuesday evening while addressing a ceremony where a large group of officials met with the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. He said the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran definitely opened a new chapter in the life of not only the Iranian nation but the human community at large. He said Iran’s victory was the culmination of divine, historic and immaterialized ideals of the Iranian nation which had been suppressed and delayed for over 14 hundred years. Outlining the activities and achievements of his two cabinets, he said during the period the young Iranian astronomy scientists managed to put their first ever satellite in the orbit. He also noted that the Iranian nation has already managed to get the nuclear technology and domestically produce the fuel needed for its nuclear reactors, adding that Iran has experienced a marvelous scientific growth./end
