Ahmadinejad: Iran To Stand By Vietnam In Difficult Days

Tehran, Nov 10, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Iran will stand by the Vietnamese nation in difficult days. He made the remarks in Hanoi in a meeting with the Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung. Noting that the nation and government of Vietnam are moving towards development and progress after overcoming many harsh situations, he said Iran sees no restriction for expanding relations with Vietnam. He expressed hope that officials of the two countries would take effective steps towards expansion of bilateral ties in economic, trade and cultural areas. Referring to many ideals the two countries shared in adhering to friendship, peace, justice and fraternity, Ahmadinejad also stressed that Iran and Vietnam should focus on these values to enhance ties. The Vietnamese official said his country was committed to implementing all agreements between the two countries and welcomed Iran’s proposal to fix a ceiling for promoting bilateral trade ties./end
