Albanian premier congratulates Turkish counterpart on election victory

TIRANA (A.A) - June 14, 2011 - Albania's Prime Minister Sali Berisha congratulated on Tuesday Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday's election victory.
Berisha sent a message to Erdogan in which he congratulated Erdogan on his success in Sunday's parliamentary elections.
The Albanian premier defined Sunday's elections as a great success for Turkey, Turkish democratic institutions and Turkish nation.
Berisha said Turkey had become one of the most developed countries in the world, and the Albanian government would cooperate with Erdogan's new government to boost friendship and good relations in line with interests of the two countries.
The Albanian prime minister said Turkey was a reliable friend and ally for Albania.
Erdogan's Justice & Development (AK) Party won 49.81 percent of votes in Sunday's elections, and thus has gained 326 seats at the 550-seat parliament.
